If you are allergic to LIDOCAINE or Epinephrine, we cannot perform any Cosmetic Tattoo services on you, as these are the types on numbing agents we use for pain management.

The following are a few issues that will NOT qualify a person for a cosmetic tattoo service:

  • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Has cancer and are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation

  • Steroid medication and/or Prednisone (must be off for at least 2 months)

  • Has an open wound and/or is currently on antibiotics (must be off for at least 2 months)

  • Has aged skin that is extremely thin or severely wrinkled

  • Has a bacterial or viral infection

  • Using Accutane or other acne/anti-aging prescription skin medications (must discontinue a minimum of 6-9 months prior to procedure)


Please check the following with  your doctor before having a cosmetic tattoo procedure: 

  • Have Diabetes and are under a doctor's care

  • Have been in remission from cancer for 1 year

  • Have high blood pressure

  • Using blood thinning medications

  • Have seborrheic dermatitis

  • Have a skin disorder that may interfere with the procedure and/or healing


​It is recommended to eat something before your appointment to make sure your blood sugar levels stay stable during the procedure

 

  • No alcohol or caffeine consumption 24 hours before your procedure. Alcohol and caffeine can thin the blood, which causes skin to be hypersensitive, and bleed or bruise more easily

 

  • Avoid sun tanning a minimum of one week prior to the procedure.  Skin must not be sunburned or recovering from a sunburn.

 

  • Avoid blood thinning medications 24 hours before the procedure. This includes aspirin, NIACIN, vitamin e or Advil ibuprofen, fish oil.  Tylenol is the only pain reliever that will not cause bleeding.  Please consult your physician if this is an issue.
     

  • Use any products containing hydroxy acids or lightening ingredients a minimum of 2-weeks before your procedure.
     

  • Retinol products MUST be discontinued 2-months before your procedure.
     

  • Please Note: you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
     

The procedure area must be healthy, non-sensitive and non-irritated. 
Here ’ s how to get your skin ready for the procedure:

DO NOT ...

  • Wax, tweeze, pick or have Laser or Electrolysis 1-week before your tattoo

 

  • Tan at least 2-weeks prior or have sunburned face/skin

  • Have any type of facial treatment 2-weeks prior to procedure

  • Work out the day of your appointment

  • Have any Botox/Filler injections at least 4-weeks prior to procedure

  • Wax or tint your eyebrows 1-week before the procedure.

  • Use any products containing hydroxy acids or lightening ingredients a minimum of 2-weeks before your procedure. Retinol products MUST be discontinued 2-months before your procedure.
     

  • Use Accutane or other acne medications. Must be discontinued 6 months before any tattoo service










  • H Y D R A T E !!  ** In the days or week leading up to your appointment, EXFOLIATION and HYDRATION are key!!  A gentle lip scrub and moisturizing balm need to be implemented into your daily routine to prep the lips.  Smooth, soft, hydrated lips aids in pigment retention and healing.  Lips need to be free of peeling, cracks or dryness.
     

  • ** If your lips are chapped or peeling when you come in for your appointment, we cannot perform the Lip procedure on you.  You will be asked to re-schedule.  This will also result in the LOSS of  your deposit (due to loss of appointment time).  A new deposit will be required to re-book.

 

  • ​If you're someone who gets cold sores, you'll need to take an antiviral medication (like Valtrex etc) at least 3-days before and at least 3-days after your lip blush.  This procedure can cause the dormant virus to come out, so it is important to ** Contact your doctor BEFORE scheduling your procedure to ensure you have the appropriate prophylactic medications on hand to start antiviral therapy accordingly. **

  • Eyelash extensions should be removed at least 1 week prior to the procedure.

 

  • No eyelash perms/lifts or tinting at least 1 week prior to the procedure.

 

  • No Botox around the eye area for 2 weeks prior to the procedure

 

  • Eyelash growth serums like latisse bring extra circulation to the lash line area which results in more growth of hair LASHES. This can cause the skin to be hypersensitive and bleed easily. It is recommended to discontinue the use of these products at least 3 to 6 months prior to the procedure.

 

  • Do not wear any eye makeup on the day of your appointment.

 

  • If you wear contact lenses, please wear glasses on the day of your appointment.

PRIOR TO YOUR LIP PROCEDURE:

IN ORDER TO AVOID EXCESSIVE BLEEDING AND UNEVEN COLOR DEPOSIT:

  • NO Alcohol 48 hours before your procedure
     

  • NO Coffee or any caffeine 24 hours before your procedure
     

  • Do not take an Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Fish oil/omegas a minimum of 1 week prior to your procedure (this thins the blood and can result in splotchy/uneven color). ** Please consult with your doctor before discontinuing any medications.
     

  • The only product for aches and pain that will not make you bleed is Tylenol.
     

  • VACATIONS: As with every tattoo, we recommend avoiding pools, salt water, and extreme sun exposure for at least 2-weeks following your appointment due to aftercare maintenance and healing.
